The conference will be held at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Creek, 1275 South Huron St., Ypsilanti, MI, 48197.  Phone:  734-487-2000.  The room rate is expected to be $140/night, but the SOFT room block is not yet available so keep checking here for updates.  Visit the Marriott’s web site for more information about the hotel and the surrounding area attractions and features.  Don’t forget to register for the Conference, in addition to your hotel registration!

On-line Conference and Balloon Celebration Registrations will open about March 1st, 2019!  Adult registration (age 12+) is $xxx; hildren aged 5 – 11 are $xx.  Children under 5 years old and SOFT children are free.  Picnic-only registration is $xx (adult) and $xx (child).   If attending ONLY Thursday’s Lunch/Workshops/Dinner, ($xx), see the Workshop section, below.  NOTE:  Registrations made after June 15 will incur an additional $15 charge per adult so register as soon as you can!

NOTE:  For those who want to attend only Thursday Lunch, the workshops and Thursday Dinner, see section 3 of the registration form for CMU/CEU information.  The cost for this is $62, which is in the payment section 9 of the registration form.

The Welcome Dinner will be held Thursday night and the Keynote Speaker will be xxxxxxxxxxxx!  The dinner will include entertainment, the Erin Jorgenson scholarship award, the “SOFT Friends” video and much more!.

SOFT’s Annual “SOFT Friends” video, in memory of Kari Holladay, will be shown at the Welcome Dinner Thursday night. Here is a link to a page that explains the video and how to submit photos to Kari’s mom, Kris. .


The annual SOFT Remembrance Outing  will be held at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on Friday afternoon – see schedule for times..

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx will provide Children’s Activities on Thursday – see the schedule for times and pick-up location.  The cost for children aged 12+ is $xx and for 5-11 the cost is $xx.  The outing includes transportation, a T-shirt and lunch as well as admission to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.


The  Memory Room will be will open Wednesday at 5pm and close Saturday at 5pm.  It will be in the xxxxx room.  Please bring photo albums or other memorabilia to display!  Be sure to remove your belongings prior to closure!.

The Saturday picnic will be held at the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.  See the Schedule for times..


The annual SOFT Balloon Celebration will be held at the Saturday Picnic.  On-line requests for a Balloon Release are now closed.  Conference attendees may request one on a “walk-in” basis, at the picnic.

On Thursday, child care will be provided from 8:45 am to 4:30 pm.  On Friday it will be provided from 12:00 to 5:00pm for children 4 years old and under.  On Friday, children older than 4 can go to the Sibling Event held by the xxxxxxxxxxxxx while parents are away.  Child care will be held in the xxxxxx room.

The Joey Watson Memorial Conference Attendance Assistance fund exists to help needing and qualifying families who require transportation and registration assistance to attend the conference.  The deadline for submitting the form is May 15th and requestors must seek other assistance in their communities prior to asking for help from this fund.  These funds are very limited, so start early.  Click the blue link to open the form.
