Chancz’s Story

“…the Lord allowed us to have 43 amazing days with him.”

Chancz Clark, Trisomy 18, 06/13/2012, Jacksonville, FL

SAMSUNGI gave birth to my baby and they tested him the day he was born. My husband and I were told he had trisomy 18 and would be gone in about 2-3 days. He was put on a ventilator and The Lord allowed us to have 43 amazing days with him. On day 41 they attempted one last time to put him on a CPAP machine so he could go home with us to die and it failed. He was put back on the vent and that day I prayed and asked the Lord to let me rock him to heaven. We called the family to come and meet him and also say farewell. On day 43 my prayers were heard and as he started fading away on the ventilator.  The hospital staff unplugged him and I rocked him for about 20 minutes, then he went to heaven. It was heart wrenching to let go, but was so soothing to hold him and remind him of all the things I told him about Jesus and that He would take care of him and be his Best Friend. :((((
