Lyndsay Stockman

Lyndsay’s Story

“She is a happy girl who loves to hug our necks, gets lots of kisses and has made a huge positive impact on my two older children’s lives.”

Lyndsay Stockman was born 7-20-2000 in Norfolk, Virginia.  She has full Trisomy 18.  We knew from an amniocentesis at 20 weeks that she had Edward’s Syndrome and this began our journey for information to best help our daughter live and have a quality life.  She had a large VSD repair, small ASD repair, PDA closure at 2 weeks of age only weighing 4 lbs at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.  She is now 11.5 years old and weighs 56 lbs.  She onlys sees her cardiologist every 2 years and is on no medications for her heart.  She goes to school on the school bus, walks in a gait trainer, eats soft and pureed foods by mouth, and is a joy to our family.  She is a happy girl who loves to hug our necks, gets lots of kisses and has made a huge positive impact on my two older children’s lives.
