Maria Marvella Vidyandaru

Vella’s Story

“Through this book, I do feel, Vella is always here, with me.”

Maria Marvella Vidyandaru, Trisomy 18, 04-11-2014 to 11-18-2014, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

mariavidI am mommy trisomy18 angel from Indonesia.
My daughter spread her wings to heaven on Nov 2014.

I wrote a book when Marvella was still with us in the Earth..
With one intention, dedication for her…
I promised her to finish soon, 4, 5, 6, 7 months, finally, and she was still with me…
Then God asked her to come to Heaven on her 7 mo 7 days….
well….as I read books every night to Brian, my elder son,
but not this one for Vella…
I have never had time to read this book for Vella

So I dedicated this book for my personal charity for T18 babies in Indonesia who are still fighting.
Through this book, I do feel, Vella is always here, with me.
Its so true, she is inside me, infinity, eternity…

Updated story 9/14/2015:

Marvella, one among Trisomy 18 babies, Indonesia, was born in a small family in Yogyakarta. She is Full Trisomy 18 baby with 2 big VSD, cyst in brain, disability in swallowing, hearing and stiff joints movement. Despite of surprising feeling after her birth, it is believed that she is a blessing from the Almighty, and not a disaster. This starting point perspective later changed her family life, forming a story.
The life story, encounter, struggle, love, hope, tears, emotion and longing lovely mix between the limitations of knowledge, concerns, and fears, all are bound each other making a complete feeling, repeated every day.

She was born on April 11, 20 14 and spread her wings to heaven on Nov 18, 2014.

As her mother, I wrote a book dedicated to her in respect of her fighting and what she taught me & changed me. The book is written based on personal diary, which is believed that everything happened never stands alone; there is always a reason. A pearl; when the prediction of death is defined as the call of duty in life, while giving it is receiving and the logic inverted by the fact that medical personnel touch is more than just a health concern, but also empathy that helps heal the soul. Pain sweet, bitter relief. A journey of life, a metamorphosis of the sense of loss of a child into a thankfulness for the gift of life from Him.

This book is still in Indonesian language, and I do hope that can make it in English version.
