Seychelle’s Story

“…not a day goes by that I don’t think of my baby girl…”

Seychelle Poolay-Pierre, Trisomy 18, 3/31/2012 to 3/31/2012, Brampton, Ontario, Canada

seychelleI was 7/12 months pregnant with Seychelle when her heart stopped beating. Early into my pregnancy, there were some markers that she possibly could have a genetic disorder. I opted not to do an amniocentesis, because no matter what I was going to continue to go full term. However things did not go the way I had planned. Having to deliver a child that had no heartbeat was an experience that I will never forget. Leaving the hospital empty handed is a feeling I cannot even begin to explain….all I ever ask is “why me”? But thanks to support groups like this….I don’t feel so alone…not a day goes by that I don’t think of my baby girl…its been almost 3 years and on her anniversary, I will continue to honor her and love her just as much as the day I found out about her. RIP my angel – love u forever Seychelle…March 31,2012.
