Tiffany’s Story

“Well I prayed to God to let us keep her and he answered my prayers.”

October 26, 2013 update: It is with a sad heart that I have to say that Tiffany gained her angel wings on October 3, 2013.  She is so missed by her family and friends.  She was such an inspiration to all she met.  Fly high and keep smiling, baby.

I was induced when i was 33 weeks. My bp was too high. I had no idea there was a problem with Tiffany. So during labor her heart rate dropped and we had an emergency c-section.  She weighed 3lb 5oz and was sent to NICU. We didn’t find out until 2 weeks later that she had t18. We were told to enjoy the time that we had with her because she wouldn;t live past a year. So we had her baptised that night.  She only had a vsd which they were watching.  She stayed in the hospital for a month and a half.  She went home weighing 4lb 11oz. Well I prayed to God to let us keep her and he answered my prayers. Her early years were ruff with all way being sick. She has been an inspiration to me. God has blessed our family for 24 years with Tiffany. I thank him every day.  God bless all the children and their families on this journey of trisomy.
