Support Siblings of Trisomy Families
Timmy McCabe of Troop 7 in Ridgewood, NJ, is raising funds for his Eagle Scout project to support siblings of children diagnosed with Trisomy, a genetic condition caused by an extra chromosome. Inspired by his cousin Moya, who had Trisomy 18 and passed away after 82 days, Timmy is creating comfort kits for siblings attending the SOFT (Support Organization for Trisomy) annual conference.
These thoughtfully designed kits will provide education, encouragement, and moments of joy to children who often spend time in hospitals or travel long distances while their families focus on managing medical appointments and care needs. Each kit contains educational materials about Trisomy, travel activities, meaningful mementos, and special items “just for them” – giving these siblings tools to understand their situation and feel valued during an incredibly challenging time.
Please consider supporting Timmy’s project.
All donations in excess of his fundraising goal will go directly to SOFT, helping the organization continue its mission of supporting families affected by Trisomy.
