Born Abel: A SOFT Rainbow of Hope
Add Your Child to the 40th Anniversary Book
SOFT is honored to partner with the Born Abel series for a special 40th-anniversary edition: Born Abel: A SOFT Rainbow of Hope. This beautifully illustrated book celebrates the courage, individuality, and joy of children with Trisomy 9, Trisomy 13, Trisomy 18, and related chromosomal conditions.
For this commemorative project, families are invited to make a donation and submit their child’s photo to be featured as a character within the story. The Born Abel illustrator will create a custom illustration based on your child’s photo and bring them into an uplifting narrative that highlights the spirit of the SOFT community.
This project not only honors our children—it also strengthens SOFT’s mission. All proceeds help expand family support, parent-to-parent mentoring, and educational outreach for newly diagnosed families and medical professionals.

Due to an incredible response, we have reached the limit of 75 children for inclusion in A SOFT Rainbow of Hope, and we are no longer accepting submissions. We are honored by the trust families place in SOFT and in this project.
