What is something unique and special about your child with trisomy that you wish more people knew?
our children are compatible with life, their life has a lot of value and deserves to be respected and treated with dignity, they are our teachers of life.
Why do you believe raising awareness about trisomy conditions is important, and how can others make a difference?
Awareness must be created to make genetic conditions and rare diseases more visible since there is not enough information and our children are treated with discrimination and often do not receive the dignified and quality care that they deserve and need.
During Trisomy Awareness Month, what message would you like to share with the world about your family’s journey and the trisomy community?
I would like our children to live in a world with a lot of empathy and respect towards them. They are people who are worth a lot and who every day prove that science is wrong and that if they are compatible with life, love, they are little people who teach us courage and the desire to live. They deserve decent treatment and a beautiful life.
