March is Trisomy Awareness Month!
Trisomy Awareness Month is the time when we share awareness and education of Trisomy conditions, celebrate our children who are beating the odds and remember our sweet Angels who left us far too soon.
Trisomy Awareness Month is not just about sharing what a Trisomy is and how it can effect our children. The message we share and celebrate is how loved our children are regardless of how long they are with us. We show how much a vital part of our families and communities they are; what sweet, loving, vibrant individuals they are; and what a hole is left in our hearts in our families when we have to say goodbye.
We are Trisomy Strong
This year our theme will be one we have used in the past but the message stands strong and bears repeating – “We are Trisomy Strong.” We believe that through this journey, regardless of how long our children are with us, they and everyone in their lives become Trisomy Strong. We find in ourselves a strength we didn’t know we had. We aren’t just talking physical strength. We become Strong in Resilience, Strong in Determination, Strong in Advocacy, Strong in Example and most of all Strong in Spirit!
Trisomy Awareness Tools

These items will help you as you reach out to your medical professionals, schools and communities to let them know that your child is not just a condition or a label. Your child is a not just a diagnosis. Your child is an individual who deserves respect. You and your child are Trisomy Strong!
