What is something unique and special about your child with trisomy that you wish more people knew?

She was far more than a Dx. She brought light, laughter and most important love to any room she entered. She defied odds and was the strongest person I’ve ever known.

Why do you believe raising awareness about trisomy conditions is important, and how can others make a difference?

It is so important we continue to raise awareness so other families facing this journey know that our kids can live happy meaningful lives if just give the right opportunities to thrive.

During Trisomy Awareness Month, what message would you like to share with the world about your family’s journey and the trisomy community?

If you are like me finding this organization first of all gave you hope but just might have helped save your kiddos life by connecting you to other families travaling this path and guiding to needed services and providers.

Now it’s my turn to give back. Ava may be an angel now but I can’t let that stop me from continuing to advocate and educate. Now I get to carry on her legacy, continue sharing her name and story and hopefully make her proud.
