What is something unique and special about your child with trisomy that you wish more people knew?
Although being born with a VSD, narrowed aorta, one working eye, enlarged kidneys and so much more he was the happiest baby I’ve ever seen
Why do you believe raising awareness about trisomy conditions is important, and how can others make a difference?
I believe it is important because I know there are more doctors like mine that tell people “no matter what you do, this child will die” and that is just not the case. Many hospitals do not treat trisomy kids but I hope that changes.
During Trisomy Awareness Month, what message would you like to share with the world about your family’s journey and the trisomy community?
During our stay at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital this group introduced me to a couple other t13 parents in the area as well and it truly helped me and gave me the strength I needed during our time there.
