What is something unique and special about your child with trisomy that you wish more people knew?
Stephen and his team won special Olympics division 10 3 on 3 VA. State championship in basketball -gold medalists!
Stephen reads at a second grade level, and is trying hard with 3rd grade math!
He enjoys history, politics 😀, Washington Capitals hockey, Alex Ovechkin, has a great sense of humor, is sarcastic and complains a bit too much!😄 Stephen is responsible and trustworthy. He works two half days a week as a dishwasher at an assisted living facility. At home, he does his own laundry, bought a John Deere riding lawnmower himself and mows about 4 acres. He helps with our dishes at home and vacuuming.
He has kyphosis of the spine 90°. He had a VSD repair at 3 months that helped him thrive. He’s had several other surgeries too.
Why do you believe raising awareness about trisomy conditions is important, and how can others make a difference?
Give these children a chance to survive and thrive for how ever long God determines.
